Hollywood 

All pubic hair removed from front to back - no hair remaining. 

(This includes all hair in the bum crack area and bum cheeks.)

 

French Bikini

Think Hollywood but with a narrow strip of hair left on the outer labia, extending up to the pubic mound - some people have a wide triangle of hair, some have a narrow strip but what makes it a french is that all the buttock and bum crack hair is removed whist some outer labia hair remains.

Brazilian

All pubic hair removed from front to back with a small strip left on the pubic mound

 

Extended bikini 

Crease of the thigh and slightly inside the knicker line at the front and top (not buttocks).

Preparation and After Care for waxing

• It is a great idea to exfoliate the day before your treatment and arrive at your appointment without any body lotion on the area to be treated

• The hair length needs to be approximately half cm to ensure best results. I recommend 2-3 weeks after shaving or 4-5 weeks after waxing, this will vary from person to person

• After your appointment it is best to avoid adding heat to the skin. You can shower but avoid direct heat or baths

• Ideally wear loose clothing

 

Frequently Asked Questions

• What do I have to wear for a hollywood wax?

  • You will need to undress from the waist down. This means removing your underwear. I do not provide disposable underwear as any underwear when trying to remove all hair just gets in the way. Please don't be shy - I have performed thousands of these treatments over the years ​

• Can I have a wax when on my period?

  • Yes, absolutely, please just wear a tampon​ or moon cup.

​

• I am worried about the pain

  • Most of my regular clients say it's not really that bad. I always say that if you have been shaving, give it 3 wax treatments, 5 weeks apart and it will get easier as the hair gets weaker. Some people take a pain killer an hour before their treatment.

  • My best advice is try to relax. So many clients arrive a nervous wreck having convinced themselves it will be torture. Of course that makes it worse. I will keep you talking and it will be over before you know it. If you are someone who doesn’t want to talk to their therapist then you have come to the wrong place!

• Should I trim before my appointment?

  • You can do but please use caution. Better the hair is slightly longer than too short. If you are trimming, try to keep the hair longer than 1cm to avoid over trimming and the hair becoming too short. Please note that I do not trim for hygienic reasons.​

• What positions do I have to get in to?

  • So many people worry about this. Talk to me if you are concerned, I want you to feel comfortable but equally I need to get to the hair and ensure the the skin is sufficiently stretched. Positions vary but generally:

  • For a Hollywood or Brazilian I ask you to lie on your back with the soles of your feet together and knees apart. To get to the back I ask you to hug your knees together to your chest. 

  • Sometimes I get you to roll on your side. 

  • If you are pregnant and want to ensure all hair is removed from your bum I will get you to get on to all 4s.

• Do I really have to remove my pubic hair?

  • Absolutely not. It is all personal preference.. a friendly warning that it is addictive :)
